Wave Simulations
Wave simulations are performed using the wave model developed by Nadaoka, Beji, Nakagawa (1997) Nadaoka Beji Nakagawa Proc R Soc Lond A 97 . The wave model is equally valid both shallow and deep water waves. The model can simulate accurately the nonlinear random waves in time without any restriction on depth and spectral width. Some simulation figures and animations are given below.
Wave diffraction behind a gap. Computation is performed for half the domain about the symmetry axis. Above: perspective view, below: contour graphic.
Simulations of waves diffracted behind a narrow entrance.
